Victor Dartnall is retiring from training after 30 years to spend more time with his family and “take things a bit easier”. Dartnall, 75, began training pointers in 1994 from his base in Brayford, near the Exmoor National Park in Devon, before taking out a full licence in 1998.  The trainer’s most recent runner was pulled up at Uttoxeter on May 26 with his last winner being Pride Of Paris at Fontwell in January.
