Snowden happy to forgive Dans Le Vent

Jamie Snowden is happy to forgive Dans Le Vent for his performance in the Challow Novices’ Hurdle due to the heavy ground.

He had previously finished second to Slate House and won at Market Rasen, with a return to Lincolnshire now on the cards.

Snowden said: “He just didn’t like the ground in the Challow. In fairness he got himself into a position and gave himself some sort of chance and he showed a bit of courage, but from the word go he didn’t like it and you can put a line through that.

“He will go back to a novice hurdle with a penalty at Market Rasen early next month to see whether we go down the handicap route or for one of the big novice races at the Festival.

“All his form is on better ground so we are hoping it will be like that at Market Rasen.

“It is an EBF qualifier so if we do go down the handicap route, the EBF Final at Sandown in March would be the race we would end up going for.”
