Harry Derham is a National Hunt trainer based at Upper Farm Stables, a wonderful state-of-the-art facility nestling among 90 acres of Berkshire countryside, 20 minutes east of Upper Lambourn.
Formerly assistant trainer to Paul Nicholls for six years, Harry’s purpose-built new facility boasts two all-weather gallops, a raft of schooling facilities, walker, lunge pen, turn out paddocks, owner’s room and capability to house 51 horses.
The talented and motivated team at HDR all share their trainer’s desire and ambition to compete in the top races in the National Hunt sphere, while providing owners with brilliant communication and a terrific experience, both on and off the racecourse.

I was absolutely thrilled with him on chasing debut. He jumped very well at Wincanton and looked a good winner. He’s up 6lb which makes life harder but I think off 120 he is still capable of winning. I think this is a quite competitive race but if he gets into a nice jumping rhythm like he did last time out then he is sure to give himself a very good chance.
